Here is my daytime outfit for Sunday, which cost me a little over $50. You gotta love the clearance rack!!! The price might have been cheap, but the look wasn’t (in my humble opinion). What do you think?

Green and Ivory Wednesday

I enjoy spring color trends, because I can play lighter lighter hues and different fun hues. I put together a rather inexpensive semi-professional look by purchasing items that cost less than $50 each:

  • Ivory Lacy Jacket: Macy’s ($20; Originally $46; it was 40% off + plus 25% off coupon)
  • Ivory Blouse: Marshall’s ($17)
  • Green Pants: NY&CO ($40)
  • Shoes: Target (Sorry, but I can’t remember how much they cost)
  • Jewelry: JCPenny (pendant and Earrings, $40), Kohl’s (Bracelet, $15)

Patriotic Sunday

I decided to play on blue, red, and white (with a hint of black) hues today.

Here is what I came up with:

I wore a navy-blue sweater vest. Underneath my vest, I wore a mid-arm length white and black stripped top with a red-rose pattern. I paired it with the some blue jeans.

As for accessories, I wore hoop earrings and a drop necklace with some red beads and a center crystal.

Look of the Day: Skull Saturday

Today I’ve decided to play with “not-very-spring” colors, like black and red. Although red is this spring season’s color trend. Anyway, I wanted to create an outfit that was inexpensively priced to show you can create a cool look on a budget by shopping at discounted retail stores, like Marshall’s or even Wal-Mart. The whole look, including shoes and a bag, was around $100 (watch was not included as it was a gift).

Here is what I put together:

a black top with golden metallic stud skull (Marshall’s), red shorts (Wal-Mart), and a see-thru cardigan (Kohl’s).

And here is a close-up of my shorts and sandals:

red shots (Wal-Mart), black studded sandals (Kohl’s), and mint-green messenger bag (Target)

The Look of the Day: April Fools

TEAL is big this Spring season! Personally, it’s one of my favorite colors, but than again I pretty much like all colors :P.

Image

I’ve decided to wear a minty/teal blouse with teal necklace, earrings, and ring. All pieces, except the black cami and gray trousers, were bought at H&M.

Image

I completed my look with a soft loose braid on both sides of my head (see the close-up below). I also kept my makeup very soft and feminine.

I hope you like my look of the day! Feel free to comment!

The Fashion Street in Milan: Via Monte Napoleone

Visiting the fashion district in Milan was like a child walking into a candy store, everything was so colorful. The only draw back was that the prices of the designer clothes were super expensive and, from what I was told, mainly rich tourists purchase things at the Via Monte Napoleone. Since I am not one of those rich tourists, I decided to just window shop, enjoy the fashion, and get inspired.

One of the first stores I visited was Miss Sixty and here I was greeted with two distinctively different fashion styles:

The first style was definitively not wearable but I found the combination of feathers and denim interesting.  The second dress was a pretty floral maxi, which is great for the summer. The warm colors speak today’s fashion trend.

My next stop was Versace:

I really liked the ivory/golden dress I saw in the window:

The Versace dress is very feminine with great flowy movement. I also had to take a close-up shot of the shoes and a bag, which I found very cool.

I was all smiles, when I saw as store with one of my favorite designer’s clothes, YVES SAINT LAURENT (YSL):

Image

I took more than a few photos of YSL clothes, because I really like their styles and colors. I find YSL’s clothes elegant, feminine, and yet simple:

Next, I was impressed by a beautiful white dress:

I liked the details on this dress.

I also liked more plain look for the summer:

Then came the store of PRADA:

The PRADA dress also has yellow and red colors (and flowers), similarly to Miss Sixty maxi dress. However, the structure (and fabric) of the dress is completely different.

I had to take a close up of the PRADA shoes, because I found them fabulous:

I found a little time for PRADA men:

Another designer’s store I was excited to see was VALENTINO. His signature red clothes cannot be mistaken, but he also came out with some black colors. His clothes are sexy and feminine and a little edgy. Check it out:

My final designer’s clothes to show you are Armani and Ralph Laurent (I think…sorry but I don’t have all my notes with me):

The dress above is very intricate and fabulous. The feather details make the dress very interesting.

In the dress above the designer made a masculine clothing into feminine fashion. I like the blend of masculine and feminine in this outfit.  The color white ties it all together nicely.

At last, I couldn’t finish this blog without finding a designer bridal gown. Here I found three gowns:
