My Christmas Look…and sacrifice

I wanted to look extra special this Christmas, maybe because I’ve gained a few pounds or maybe because I was not feeling great. I hurt my back that day and it was painful even to walk. Pain aside, I still managed to out on makeup, red dress, jewelry, high-heels, and a wig ;).

Now, it was time to go to church. My hair needed to be pulled back.

It probably took me about 40 minutes to get ready, not including another 50 minutes spent on applying makeup. Don’t forget, I was doing everything in a very slow motion.

At the end, I think I looked fabulous and the back pain didn’t stop me from enjoying the entire day :). The next day (and even still today) I had to endure the consequences of my actions. 😛

 

Friday Before Christmas Look

I mentioned in my previous post that I would take more pictures of my daily outfits. As a taste, here is my today’s outfit. It is a casual look.

I’m not sure if you can tell from this picture, but my sweater has a golden shiny thread throughout it, which gives it a subtle sparkle. God knows how I luv sparkles, but this time I opted out for more delicate approach :). I purchased the sweater at JCPENNY, which was a steal for $25 (BRAND: i Jeans by Buffalo.

Underneath my sweater I wore a sparkly blue top. I like the blue picking out underneath my gray sweater. I purchased the blue top at Kohl’s for $15 (BRAND: APT. 9).

Let’s now look at the close up of my hair and makeup.

My makeup was inspired by my outfit. It may not be very original idea, but I like that look. My foundation was by Chanel and eye primer was by Urban Decay. I used NYX eyeliner and MaxFactor mascara (which I luv :)). I also created rosy cheeks with Hard Candy Pink blush. I did a little of conturing using a bronzer. I placed on lips a very light shade of pink lipstick by Revlon. I finished the look by spraying a FIX + by MAC.

On the hair, I opted out for a loose braid around my face, which give it a nice somewhat bohemian look.

I almost forgot about my earrings, which I think I’ve purchased at Kohl’s. They are big and beautiful :)! They are my statement pieces. I didn’t want to wear a necklace, because I didn’t want to take away from the earrings and from the subtle beauty of my sweater.

 

Dark Romance

Nothing makes more dramatic and beautiful color combination than black and red. This union is sure to create one fantastic and daring look. I hope you like it as much as I do.

Change Change Change ;)

Any of us go through changes: new job, marriage, moving, divorce, hair colors, weight shifts. I have experienced them all. Sometimes changes are involuntary, while other times they are self-inflicted. It seems every season I try to redefine myself…redefine how I look, what I wear, what I like, what I dislike about. As the new season and the new year approach, I wonder what new changes would occur in my life. Would I get married? (not ;)). Would I loose weight? (hopefully ;)). Would travel abroad? (most likely) Would I change my hair color? (definitively!!!!)

Some things are certain and some are not. Nerveless  I’m ready to redefine myself—redefine my appearance. I’m not sure what direction I would go, but I will keep you posted. I need to take more full-body photos of myself, so you could see the transformation of my style, my hair, and even my weight. No matter what, I will try to stay fabulous—FABULOUS in my OWN unique way! Wish me luck!     xoxo
