At least, It’s the Spring season! It is my favorite time of year….birds singing, flowers blooming, and love growing :). I also like the spring color palette, which includes beautiful pastel colors.
To celebrate this season, I decided to experiment with color and make some bangles. For this project, I started with just plain wooden bangles. I bought all needed supplies at the local craft stores, Hobby Lobby and Michael’s, and at Home Depot.

It was my first time painting jewelry and it took me longer than I expected…maybe because I kept changing my mind about the design and kept adding different layers.
One thing I have learned about the spray painting is that: YOU NEED TO GO LIGHT!!! I mean, don’t overspray of you get drips on your jewelry. Also, let the first coat completely dry before applying the second coat, if desired.
In my future posts on jewelry painting, I will try to explain every step. This was just a trial and I wasn’t sure how it would turn out. I’m happy with the results though.
I’m curious what you think? Do you have any tips for painting jewelry?
